9. Get full access to your broker’s capabilities
If you are working with a broker, try to understand to full range of the services they offer and see which ones can be useful to you and your company. You might be paying a fee that covers a lot of services you are not currently using. Talk to your broker about any doubts you might have regarding risk, claims, loss, and insurance.
10. If you have a claim, report it to your broker
Every insurance policy has contractual obligations, and one of those obligations is that you should always report whenever there is damage or loss of any protected items, this is the last one in your list of important tips. Your broker will then provide you any advice you need regarding your obligations and your rights. If you don’t give notice right away, your claim might be rejected.
