According to statistics, married couples are found to be less of a risk to insurance than the single ones. In fact, married couples are shown to drive more safely and are less likely to have car accidents while the risk to have a car accident is even doubled when it comes to single drivers, reported the National Institute of Health.
The good thing here is that car insurance rates for married couples can be from 5 to 15 % lower and sometimes they can even receive discounts in case they choose to combine their policies with the same insurance company.
